Ken is an Extension Wildlife Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. He is based in Amarillo, and serves the High Plains and Trans-Pecos regions. Ken has been with Extension since1998, previously taught at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, has worked for ranches in the Edwards Plateau and the Trans-Pecos, and was a rancher and wildlife manager in Kendall, Kerr, and Bandera counties for 14 years. He has been a Certified Wildlife Biologist since 1989. His primary work is aimed at livestock/wildlife interactions, and incorporating wildlife management into traditional ranching and farming activities. Some current specific interests include management of quail, deer, pronghorns, pheasants, playas, predators, and the use of prescribed fire for rangeland improvement.
