Robinson Honored in Texas Tech Hall of Fame
LUBBOCK B Dr. Bob Robinson, Texas Cooperative Extension regional program director in Amarillo, is the recipient of a Texas Tech University Hall of Fame award.
The Advanced Degree Graduate of Distinction award was presented to Robinson by the Department of Animal and Food Sciences. The award recognizes graduates with a masters and/or doctorate in animal science from Texas Tech who have achieved excellence in their field.
Dr. Kevin Pond, chair of the Department of Animal and Food Sciences, said nominations for the awards are made by faculty members and alumni. And this is only the second year to present this particular award.
AIt=s very significant,@ Pond said. AHe is the second one to be selected out of all the advanced degree graduates from Animal and Food Sciences in Texas Tech history.@
Robinson was selected because of his outstanding service to Texas and the Extension programs and his continued dedication to Texas Tech, Pond said. Robinson=s picture and information will be permanently displayed in the new Animal Science building at Texas Tech.
