The communication office exists here at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center to help media members contact or find souces for stories or projects they are working on.

Kay Ledbetter is the communication specialist for both
Texas AgriLife Research and Texas AgriLife Extension.

Kay joined the Texas A&M System in January 2005. Prior to accepting the position, she worked 22 years at the Amarillo
Globe-News, the majority of those as the Farm and Ranch Editor.

"My purpose here is to make sure all the news, technological
updates and research information gets to the general public
and the consumers who can most benefit from it in a timely
and accurate manner."
