Dr. Burkham serves as the FCH Regional Program Leader for the North Region.  She provides leadership for Family and Community Health programs with youth and adult audiences in the 41 North Region Counties which surround Amarillo and Lubbock. She holds a B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from Texas Tech University, a M.S. degree in Agriculture Education from Texas Tech University and a Doctorate of Education in Agriculture Education and Communications from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.

Dr. Burkham has been a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service team since 1991.  She has served in the North Region the majority of her career.  She has served as an FCS agent in Lubbock and Lamb counties, Extension Program Specialist 4-H for the South Plains and Panhandle districts, 4-H Volunteerism Specialist located in Dallas, Regional Program Director 4-H and Youth and an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist before being promoted to regional program director. Since 2016 she has served as the State Program Leader for Family and Community Health.
