Brandon began his career with AgriLife Extension in 2002 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. While working as an Extension agent in Roberts County he earned a master’s degree in agriculture from West Texas A&M University in 2006. He continued as CEA until 2011, when he became the District 4-H Specialist for District 1. Brandon became District Extension Administrator in 2013 and completed his Ph.D. in systems agriculture from West Texas A&M University in 2019.
In his current role, he is involved in the recruiting, hiring, and supervision of county Extension agents in 22 Texas Panhandle counties and serves as a liaison with county commissioners courts to ensure that a quality Extension program is implemented in every county.
